Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Kida Jaranga Main
How will I endure it?

Tere Begair Zindagi Nu Ki Karange Main
What will I do with life without you.

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Ki Karanga Pyaar Di Lutti Bahaar Nu
What will I do with a devastated spring (season) of love

Sajiyan Sajayian Mehfilan Gunde Shingaar Nu
Pre-organized and decorated gatherings

Hathin Mari Muskaan Da Matam Karanga Main
With my hands, I will mourn the death of her

-In a literal sense, the word "muskaan" refers to a smile, but in the way Maan uses this word, it takes its second meaning which refers to a girl who was full of joy and life. The word "matam" makes a reference to a set of rituals associated with followers of Islam. At the death of their loved ones, people would beat their chest as a gesture for mourning. There are two forms of matam:
1. Using only hands - this is known as "sineh-zani" or chest-beating, and
2. Using chains, knives, swords, or blades - this known as "zanjeer-zani"
In this line of the song, Maan is telling us that he would beat his chest to mourn the loss of a girl.

Tere Begair Zindagi Nu Ki Karange Main
What will I do with life without you.

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Je Ro Piya Tan Kehn Ge Deewana Ho Gaya
If I cry, then they will call me mad (also means 'crazy')

Na Boliyan Tan Kehn Ge Begana Ho Gaya
If I stay quiet, then they will call me unrelated

Lokan Di Is Zubaan Nu Kida Fadanga Main
How will I control anyone's tongue?

Tere Begair Zindagi Nu Ki Karange Main
What will I do with life without you.

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Saahan Di Dubb Di Naav Nu Jhokha Mile Ya Na
The sinking boat of [my] life may get a saving blow, or not

Is Jahaan Milan Da Mauka Mile Ya Na
If I get a chance to meet [her] in this world, or not

Agle Jahaan Milan Di Koshish Karanga Main
I will make the effort to meet in the next life/world

Tere Begair Zindagi Nu Ki Karange Main
What will I do with life without you.

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Sajna Jara Tu Ther Ja Sajda Tan Kar Lavan
My beloved, stay back for a moment, I want to pay respects to you

-The word "sajda" refers to a particular posture of praying to God. This originates from the Islamic faith. It is open to interpretation as to whether Maan is giving his beloved friend the status of a God or Goddess.

Athru Na Koi Vekh Lai Parda Tan Kar Lavan
I want to cover myself so no one can see [my] tears

'Maana' Dilan Di Sej Te Pathar Dharanga Main
Maan I will harden my heart

O Jaan Wale Alvida E Nahi Kahanga Main
I won't say "Good Bye" to the one leaving

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Kida Jaranga Main
How will I endure it?

Tere Begair Zindagi Nu Ki Karange Main
What will I do with life without you.

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving

Peer Tere Jaan Di
The pain of your leaving
